[foreword]

As I embark on this sure to be life-altering experience in typical ten-days-before-the-deadline-GO-PROCRASTINATION fashion, I feel inspired, a smidge nervous and tremendously STRESSED excited. This will most likely be an anthology of stuff that have little to no relation with one another. In other words, basically a spew of random things that I think of and, subsequently, write about. Mini-essays, drabbles, lists, and personal rants will all probably be present at some point. So without further ado…!

[two truths and a lie]
Because it’s a fun game and a good intro/icebreaker/something to get me started? Humour me.

1. My first love was back in grade one and he was four grades higher than me. He offered me a hand up when I fell off the monkey bars once and it was love at first sight.
2. I’ve eaten soap-flavoured jellybeans before on a dare. It tasted like perfume. And as to how I know that, I’ve also had Calven Klein perfume sprayed in my mouth before.
3. I think I’m somewhat of a pyromaniac. In any case, I adore fire. Prettyyy~.

Well that was fun. ZOMGIAMDONEWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ahem. So, my grateful thanks to [info]fable for organizing this. I enjoyed it. I also feel very accomplished and proud of myself right now. *grins*

edit: Am also going to ramble until LJ decides to cut me off because I'd feel really cheated if I didn't pass the cut-off point. After spending a week and a half churning out words to fill this space, and I don't get cut off? C'mon. So here I ramble.

Forced to make one because LJ is mean and not cutting me off )

Calling all TezuFuji writers!!

Alrighty, I've been meaning to post this for a while, but y'know, RL and all. But it has come to my attention, and especially after reading [info]jennifier_d's fics, that TezuFuji does not get enough fluff. Which is unfortunate. Granted, the pairing does not lend themselve to too much sticky, sugary-sweet, cotton candy fluff, but I still think that we as writers (and I am just as guilty) tend to torture them too much.

I still highly recommend reading Jennifier's Tezuka/Fuji fics because it is undeniable that she is an exceptional writer, but TEH ANGST! Without giving everything away, her big multi-chaptered work Pieces is just heartbreaking and most of her shorts are too. ;_;

So, now, a challenge, if you should choose to accept it, write me Tezuka/Fuji FLUFF! It doesn't have to be sappy WAFF or anything, it can even have angst in it! But, HAPPY ENDINGS PEOPLE, HAPPY ENDINGS!!!

Post it here, or in your journal (but link please!), but just show me that Tezuka and Fuji can be together and BE HAPPY!! Because I believe, with all my fangirl heart that despite the angst they may have to go through, they can eventually work out!

Write me anything! (I'm desperate here.) A drabble, a short, the ending of a plot bunny that isn't really developped, I'M NOT FEELING PICKY!!

Just...

SHOW ME THE FLUFFF!!

I JUST SAW PRINCE OF TENNIS 174-176!!!

SQEEEEEEEE!!! Omg omg, squeee! Really, guys, I'm shrieking like a headless chicken right now. (Ask me how the damn chicken shrieks without its head and die. Don't ruin my moment.)

Alright, so I know I'm about a million light years behind everyone else, but still!! *bounces off the walls* It was so intense and dramatic and OMG SO SQUEEABLE! Shoot me, shoot me now and I will die a happy happy fangirl! I will post again when I've regained the ability to form coherent thoughts that don't consist solely of squee-ing. XDXDXD!!!

EDIT: Look what I just chanced upon!! The wonderful Aishuu's TezuFuji manifesto! Simply beautiful, and oh-so-perfect in that it says everything and so simply like it's only fact because of course it is. Wheeee...! I'm not getting any sleep tonight. XD

So I know I was bitching about my troubles writing earlier, and what do we do when we're having trouble writing? We take a suicide leap off the side of a tall building read other stories that are fan-fucking-tastic of course! ^____^ And I did find one that was just amazing for the Tenipuri fandom. I literally bow to the two great minds who created it. Paved with Good Intentions is about angels and demons, and it's so funny, but it's also so well thought out and deep. There's a little bit of OOCness at times, but it gets absorbed by the context and it's really not that glaringly blatant. That being said...

*deep breath* YOU MUST GO READ IT, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Ok, so maybe it won't, but it's still a really good story, I PROMISE.

You'll laugh and you'll cry (or at least tear up) and at the end you'll marvel at the way everything comes full circle and suddenly makes sense and you will be completely jealous of the writers for their sheer genius and ability to weave all the seemingly twisted threads of plot into one awe-inspiring tapestry, but then you'll realize that without them, this would have never been written and the world would've never been able to witness this brilliance and you'll just be happy and thankful that they were born and introduced to the fandom and I will end off my extremely bad run-on sentence here! *gasps for breath* I'll just say one more thing and then I'll be off. GO READ IT! NOW!

OMFGMONSTER!!!

Yes, yes, that manga definitely deserves that kind of a reaction. It is THE most twisted, disturbing, scarily realistic, downright psychologically scarring manga I have EVER read. ... And that's saying a lot all things considered. The ending is so... so... NOT a goddamn ending! GAH! And that's what makes Monster so damn cool, is that everytime you think you've figured something out or that something's not relevant... guess what? IT FUCKING IS and you realize that you really don't know ANYTHING!! All the character interconnections are so complicated and deep and it just makes you want to cry because half the time they don't even realize it!

The art isn't your typical, anime/manga pretty stuff, but I'm not saying it's bad. It's actually, artistically speaking, waaay better than most anime cuz the art is actually realistic. Not all the boys are prettier than women and not all the females have big boobs and annoyingly perky personalities. Monster takes it so much deeper than that. It really shows all of the horrific sides of humanity but at the same time, the main character Tenma is just the perfect person. He's so good and selfless, but not dumbly naive, and he's willing to sacrifice everything he has (including his very soul) to allow others to be happy and live their lives out in blissful ignorance. I just finished the manga last night (took me three hours too) and I couldn't believe that it was over. After everything that happened, I just couldn't grasp the fact that it was all over, it was THAT surreal.

Seriously, Monster is the kind of manga that comes along once every decade and shocks, and awes and reminds everyone of what humanity really is and it leaves it's mark and you just can't dig it out of your mind. I'm gonna have nightmares about this shit forever. Scary stuff. GO READ IT NOW I COMMAND YOU! And if you can't find it, let me know. I'll get it to you. I will. You must read it. Now. Go.
